The Vulcain Trophy is a sailing championship that brings together the best regatta specialists from the Lake Geneva region. For the first time in its history, it included two regattas organized in the Mediterranean region in September, in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Antibes, France. As the main sponsor of the event, the Swiss watch manufacturer Vulcain gave its name to this year's championship and awarded the three winners with a limited edition of its famous Nautical watch. Only 100 copies of this model have been produced – of which three were given to the skippers who earned a place on the Vulcain Trophy 2011 podium.
